Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily implementation of the (NN) New Normal program activities and has a focus on the academy program training program for young adults 18-25. Conduct virtual and in-person outreach strategies to increase awareness of program and participants recruitment. Recruit and select participants for the academy program according to program and funding guidelines. Conduct group and individual level education and counseling sessions as part of academy programming. Implement academy curriculum that includes sexual and reproductive health and allied health topics such as HIV/STI prevention, family planning, women’s health and mental health. Oversee the scheduling of academy faculty including ongoing communication and related administrative task. Provide linkages and/or referrals for workshop participants to health, social and workforce development resources including community prevention and other internal programs. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in health education, counseling, social work or related field and one to three years of relevant work experience required. Experience in public health, sexual and reproductive health education preferred. Workforce programming experience is a plus. 1+ years of experience conducting educational workshops and presentations. Experience working with and engaging young adults and community participants. Experience and strong commitment to serving people in poverty, with diverse racial, social, economic, and sexual identities. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Functional knowledge and skills in virtual communication platforms and social media (IG. FB Twitter) and other channels used by young adults. Flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends required. Commitment to racial and reproductive health equity in health education essential. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
