Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate all program-level activities for the Strengthening Working Families Initiative, including intake/assessment, referrals for education, training and support services, data tracking and reporting. Under the supervision of the Vice President for Workforce Development, develop, plan, and manage the coordination of workforce development and child care systems for low- to middle- skilled parents. Acts as primary case manager for program participants, providing individual counseling and ensuring services noted on Individual Service Strategy are provided. Coordinate and develop linkages with education and skill training providers and childcare resources. Provide customer options and choices. Interview prospective program enrollees and assess abilities. Ensure successful program completion with competency based results. Establish strategic partnership(s) with key peers in Boston area childcare organizations and employment and training organizations. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, human services, or related field and three to five years of relevant experience required. Excellent creative and entrepreneurial talents, along with a willingness to take risks and develop new initiatives. Proven experience working with community-based education, skill training and childcare providers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organizational, planning and time management skills. Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
