Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the overall safety, security and well-being of the families in residence motel. Conduct daily curfew checks and regularly scheduled rounds of facility during shift and update log. Monitor security cameras for activities past curfew. Serve as the first level of emergency response in crisis situation during overnight shift. Provide crisis intervention, which may include de-escalation of residents, utilizing appropriate protocols and procedures for residents who may display aggressive behavior or refuse to follow established program rules and policies. Report all incidences of abuse/neglect and or abandonment of children immediately to official authorities and file 51-A’s with DCF. Maintain paper and electronic client records in accordance with standard format. Participate in entering data into ETO/HMIS within the time frame set forth by funding source and agency. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with one to three years of experience in human services required. Must have knowledge of homeless families and issues of poverty and maintain up-to-date knowledge of EA Rules and Regulations and Massachusetts Tenant Laws. Demonstrated mediation and conflict resolution skills and ability to respond effectively to crisis, counsel others, and provide goal-oriented services. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must have ability to work outside of normal business hours. Ability to attend and participate in CPR and First Aid and Infant CPR trainings. Bilingual ability, preferably in Spanish and/or Creole. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
