Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing outreach and recruitment strategies and plans for open positions in ABCD Head Start & Children’s Services. Build applicant pipeline to ensure timely recruitment by researching and building relationships with community agencies, local colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites, promoting organizational information, opportunities and benefits, making presentations to potential candidates at job fairs and community events and maintaining good relationships with sources of candidates. Coordinate with the Human Resources Department for posting all job openings to the ABCD website and other media, as well as monitor costs and effectiveness of different sources of candidates. Schedule and prepare materials for interview panels, participate in interview panels and ensure that a parent representative is included on the panel and all panel members are trained in interview policy and procedures. Assist with contacting new hires to extend job offers and arrange orientations per direction of Vice President for Head Start. Organize job shadowing and new hire trainings as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field, with one to three years of human resources experience with emphasis in specialty area of recruitment, hiring, and training required. Knowledge of Head Start or other early education programs preferred. Proven ability to keep accurate written records and documentation with a high level of efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail. Engage in ongoing staff development to expand professional skills. Must be able to travel frequently for recruitment events and meetings. Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
