Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all IT daily operations including, implementation of procedures, and industry best practices, the configuration and maintenance of the IT infrastructure encompassing internet connectivity and networks, computers/servers/hardware, software systems, applications and data centers, directly supervise the help desk systems and staff. Duties include assisting in planning for future growth, assisting in the planning and implementation of data projects, collaborate in the development and implementation of an agency-wide training program, and serving as an additional Network/Systems Administrator and Programmer/DBA. Assist in the design, maintenance and testing of technical solutions. Participate in physical and logical database design. Manage the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules. Manage the IT back-up systems from procedural review to testing and disaster recovery.  Monitor, evaluate and correct outages to the LAN/WAN, firewall, Active Directory, IIS, Apache, MySQL, AWS, and MS SQL Enterprise services.  Manage, maintain and create detailed documentation, diagrams, and procedures to maintain and support the network infrastructure, new and existing software products. Share acquired skills with staff through formal and informal channels. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5+ years of experience working with relational databases as a network/systems administrator required. Microsoft MCSE/MCTS/MCITP certification also required. Experience  with administering Linux servers, supporting highly available Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and SQL 2008/2012/2014 environments, supporting cloud based antivirus products, troubleshooting and administering Active Directory, IIS, Apache, MySQL, AWS, Linux and MS SQL server, as well as with  DNS, DHCP, WINS, TCP/IP, LDAP, and SNMP are a must. Well-versed in enterprise-level backup technologies and strategies and in-depth experience with VMWare infrastructure also required. Demonstrated understanding of best practices in network architecture and security design as well as technical and functional design requirements and ability to write effective stored procedures. Strong familiarity with Massachusetts Data Security Laws. Deep knowledge of object and component methodology and technology with a strong proficiencies in Java, C/C++, ASP.NET (C#), PHP, or Python and proficient in at least one programming language as well as an ability to create effective XSL stylesheets. Must have a strong background with SonicWALL, Cisco and Meraki Firewalls and VPN Appliances and Windows client operating systems. Mastery of the Microsoft Business productivity suite. Demonstrated proficiency in HTML and CSS and strong JavaScript skills with familiarity in AJAX, RESTful web service design, and other conventions. Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively as well as set goals and realistic time-lines while effectively delegating tasks and projects and motivating staff in achieving positive results. Effectively manages staff time and agency resources to facilitate an innovative and dynamic work environment where new ideas are actively encouraged.
