Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating all program-level activities for the GATE project including intake/assessment, referrals for education, training and support services, data tracking and reporting. Coordinate and develop linkages with education and skill training providers, childcare resources and social services. Under the supervision of the Director of Workforce Development and Alternative Education, develop, plan, and manage the coordination of workforce development, social services access and child care systems for low- to middle- skilled parents. Acts as primary case manager for program participants, providing individual counseling and ensuring services noted on Individual Service Strategy are provided. Coordinate and develop linkages with education and skill training providers and childcare resources and social services. Interview prospective program enrollees and assess abilities. Hire, train and support direct services staff, assisting with participant support services. Establish strategic partnership(s) with key peers in Boston area childcare organizations and employment and training organizations. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, human services, or related field required. Excellent creative and entrepreneurial talents, along with a willingness to take risks and develop new initiatives. Proven experience working with community-based education, skill training and childcare providers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong organizational, planning and time management skills. Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
