Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the administration and management of program operations within the Head Start program. Support the Program Director in promoting a consistent exchange of information across the program. Participate in the implementation of internal structures, systems, and policies. Assume responsibilities of the Program Director in their absence. Assume administrative responsibility for ensuring that all re-licensing activities as required by the Office of Child Care Services are completed in accordance with existing regulations and procedures. Ensure appropriate collaboration between teachers, case managers, health managers, intervention support specialist(s), nutritionist(s), and mental health consultant(s). Actively participate in the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of all staff. Coordinate the annual local budget preparation process, ensuring that parents and staff are involved in the process. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, human services management, social work or a related field, with three to five years of successful administrative and supervisory experience within an Early Childhood Education program required. Demonstrated successful experience in developing linkages with community agencies. Must have strong writing and verbal skills. Bilingual skills as needed. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
