Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive community and social media outreach strategy to increase recruitment of targeted populations. Assess the sexual health education needs of the community through direct contact and other appropriate assessment techniques. Develop and maintain close collaborations with all ABCD programs, health and community based social service agencies, and non-traditional partners for recruitment of targeted population. Conduct program evaluation activities, data collection and participant follow up according to program procedures and funder guidelines. Provide referrals and assure smooth access to reproductive/family planning and sexual health care services, HIV C&T, and substance abuse services and other support services that supports retention of program participants. This may include assisting program participants in making appointments. Assist with strategies for increased participant recruitment, in particular with targeted observance events and social media strategies developed by the peer health educators. Monitor activities to ensure effective implementation according to program goals and objectives. Perform related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of experience in outreach and/or health education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience providing community-based outreach and prevention education with a variety of target populations that include adolescents, young adult women of color and LGBT strongly preferred. Prior experience working with social marketing is helpful. Must be familiar with the greater Boston area community and social service agencies and non-traditional public health partners. Excellent knowledge of reproductive/family planning and sexual health education that includes HIV/STI, HIV Testing, HepC substance use. Demonstrated ability to organize and facilitate group education/workshops and community events. Must have a willingness to travel and work extensively in diverse neighborhoods with a flexibility to work early morning, evening and weekend hours on occasion. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.

Please note: This position is part-time for twenty-one (21) hours per week.
