Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for oversees the day-to-day activities and clerical functions of the Professional Development and Disabilities/Mental Health components within Head Start & Children’s Services. Assist with planning, organizing and implementing trainings and coursework for Head Start staff as well as community educators. Maintain professional development tracking systems. Design recruitment and special event materials. Maintain a system for expenditures of the components, including but limited to invoices submitted by training consultants, disability/mental health equipment, and classroom adaptations. Work closely with other departments concerning purchasing, contracts, personnel, check disbursements, payroll and other administrative matters. Assist with preparation of materials for professional development activities such as attendance, fliers, certificates, and evaluations. Attend professional development and other related meetings. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, or a related field and up to one year of relevant experience required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills. Frequent significant decisions and problem solving abilities. Keyboarding skills, computer literacy and familiarity with various applications such as database, word processing, e-mail and internet. Proven ability to keep accurate written records and documentation. Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with persons of diverse social-economic and cultural backgrounds.
