Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting with the implementation of Early Head Start (EHS) Health and Nutritional Services for the EHS expansion and child care partner programs, including center-based and Family Child Care providers. Serve as the program health liaison to EHS Child Care Partnership (CCP) families. Review with the Health and Nutrition Services Managers the EHS-CCP children’s files to ensure all nutrition-related assessment data, including the food frequency form, height, weight, lead, and hemoglobin/hematocrit and nutrition questionnaire are included. Review the health record with the Health and Nutrition Services Managers for each EHS-CCP child and family ensuring that all required information such as physical examination, dental examination, vision screening and medical background is included. Collaborate with other component staff and the larger health community to assist with referrals and follow-up of nutrition service. Participate in case management meetings and provide nutrition and health referrals to the Health and Nutrition Services Managers. Monitor and report to the partner programs regarding nutrition learning experiences offered through workshops. Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with one to three years of experience in an office setting required. Associate’s degree or 60+ credits toward a degree in early education, human services, or related field preferred. Knowledge of neighborhoods served by the program and willingness to travel to all EHS-CCP partner programs in the city of Boston, Malden and Everett. Valid driver’s license and access to a car required. Ability to speak relevant second language to the population served a plus. Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and data entry computer programs. Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse, educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
