Overview:

Action for Boston Community Development is a nonprofit human services organization that each year provides more than 100,000 low income residents in the Greater Boston region with the tools and resources needed to transition from poverty to stability and from stability to success. 

The Client Coordinator will be a member of the BRIDGES program and will perform duties consistent with ABCD’s contracted work as a member of the Metro Boston Regional Gaming and Hospitality Consortium (MBRGHC). The Client Coordinator plays a key role in providing outreach and coordination services to individuals residing in Malden.

Duties include:

  • Provide outreach and coordination services to individuals residing in Malden
  • Assist in the identification of client-participant employment goals
  • Assist in the enrollment of client-participants as members of the MassHire Metro North Career Centers
  • Coordinate, individually or in partnership with the MassHire Metro North Career Centers, the delivery of employment services, including but not limited to job readiness and/or training resources and programs, educational programs, Northstar Digital Literacy assessments and credential attainment, workshops, etc.
  • Partner with local organizations, city departments, and employment representatives to conduct outreach
  • Collaborate with other organizations funded through Metro Boston Regional Gaming and Hospitality Consortium (MBRGHC) by participating in Community Mitigation Fund partner meetings and sharing information on programming as appropriate
  • Conduct outreach to local employers to discuss hiring needs and available opportunities for residents
  • Maintain a data system to track each client-participant engaged and maintain written case notes for each client-participant to accurately reflect client-participant outcomes, including support services accessed, and each business to which outreach took place and whether said business is seeking employees
  • Share information relative to outreach to businesses and any employees sought with the MassHire Metro North Career Centers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year’s experience in case coordination, constituent services, customer service or equivalent
  • A Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, human services, social science or related field preferred
  • Must have a willingness to work as part of a team and individually as necessary and appropriate
  • Careful attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must have excellent communication skills, as well as strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to work with individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, economic and cultural background required
