Overview:
Action for Boston Community Development is a nonprofit human services organization that each year provides more than 100,000 low income residents in the Greater Boston region with the tools and resources needed to transition from poverty to stability and from stability to success. 

Duties include:
  • Responsible for producing, shooting, editing and distribution of digital video.
  • Shoot, capture, log and organize professional-quality footage to ensure high-quality video production and an efficient work flow.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming and concepting.
  • Control lighting on location.
  • Perform color correction.
  • Coordinate online video publishing workflows and infrastructure including media asset management and video editing programs.
  • Perform fast edits of existing video for distribution on social media.
  • Create and maintain department databases, organization, and backup storage.
  • Create graphics and motion graphics for ABCD videos, including but not limited to: animated openers, copyright/branding slates, and miscellaneous graphics. Work with existing logos and design schemes-highly preferred. 
  • Provide occasional mentoring and advising video editing interns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
     

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Filmmaking, Video Production or related field, and 2-3 years of experience in online video production required. 3 to 5 years of media experience preferred.
  • Frequent local location work and some after-hours work.
  • High-level knowledge of various video cameras and equipment. 
  • Well versed in video encoding and common video codecs and formats. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. 
  • Proficiency in other relevant Adobe Creative Cloud applications including After Effects and Photoshop is desired. 
  • Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress is helpful. 
  • Superior creative, technical, organization, written, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multi-task, with a proven history of working quickly, efficiently and accurately under deadline pressures. 
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
