Action for Boston Community Development is a nonprofit human services organization that each year provides more than 100,000 low income residents in the Greater Boston region with the tools and resources needed to transition from poverty to stability and from stability to success. 

The Climate Equity & Impact program at ABCD offers a number of heating and energy services to income eligible residents of Boston, Brookline, Newton and the Mystic Valley cities and towns of Malden, Medford, Everett, Melrose, Stoneham, Winchester and Woburn. The Programs Analyst is responsible for assisting the Department Director with day-to-day data, systems and reporting activities and analysis.

Duties include: 

  • Assess statewide/network-wide data requests and analysis, support SCSC data requests, support single and multifamily program data requests & analysis
  • Maintain and update program software billing and reporting systems and coordinate project management tools & software.
  • Track, process and report payments and data to vendors and utilities in compliance with program guidelines.
  • Maintain program database and improve functionality as needed.
  • Conduct data analysis, scrubbing and screening across all funding sources and programs.
  • Prepare data for distribution to sub grantee network
  • Conduct data analysis and reports for program insights and strategy.
  • Maintain and update program billing and reporting software systems.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to sub-grantees and vendors as required.
  • Produce required billing and reporting data to utility funders in compliance with contract guidelines.
  • Compile and input project scope data for project screening.
  • Conduct project screening and analysis.
  • Act as lead team member for structure, administration, configuration and capabilities
  • Complete case studies for selected projects as necessary.
  • Update Program Guidance and other program documents if requested.
  • Assist Multifamily Program Manager to prepare for Committee meetings.
  • Take notes during meetings if requested.
  • Maintain electronic and paper files.
  • Coordinate with Department Director on all of the above.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social science or a related field, and at least three years of professional experience in energy efficiency and/or multi-family low-income housing required.
  • Experience with is highly preferred.
  • Experience in grant program management is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel or a high degree of comfort with databases and spreadsheets required. 
  • Good communication skills by phone and email required. 
  • Flexibility, initiative, and ability to work in a team required. 
  • Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
