Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for sustaining and increasing public and private revenue for ABCD programs by producing proposals, letters of inquiry, grant reports, and other fundraising materials, and for helping to lead innovation at the program level across the agency. 
  • Assist with the identification of funding sources and new grant opportunities. 
  • Under the direction of the Director – Grants, collaborate internally with other ABCD Departments to develop fundraising strategies and to identify and design new programs in response to resource opportunities.
  • Prepare proposal text and other materials for government, corporate, and foundation grant submissions, working with program and finance department staff to prepare proposal budgets.
  • Ensure applications, grant reports, renewal applications, award notices and requirements are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Research geographical and economic trends and policies.
  • Help build and maintain funder relationships. 
  • Aid in research requests for proposals and attend bidder’s conferences s needed. 
  • Coordinate grant award events and announcements in coordination with ABCD’s Public Information Department.
  • Assist with signoff process and Contract Safe for proposal reviews, approvals and signatory functions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or related field with 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, grants writing or related work, with demonstrated capacity to win significant grants from public and private sources is required. 
  • Knowledge of Boston social service systems and of funding sources for human services.
