The Climate Equity & Impact program at ABCD offers a number of heating and energy services to income eligible residents of Boston, Brookline, Newton and the Mystic Valley cities and towns of Malden, Medford, Everett, Melrose, Stoneham, Winchester and Woburn.

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for managing the strategies and systems built to monitor and drive Statewide Client Services Center (SCSC). 
  • Partner with Deputy Director of Strategy and Implementation to understand strategic priorities & metrics for success, and drive roadmap including timelines and milestones.
  • Work internally with department teams to coordinate initiatives, problem solve and manage projects.
  • Apply project management principles, methodologies, tools, and policies and procedures to manage the rollout of cross-functional, department-wide projects or initiatives in the strategic projects portfolio.
  • Regularly report internally/externally on project status, budget, milestones, KPIs, accomplishments, and deliverables.
  • Elevate issues and potential risks to Deputy Director of Strategy and Implementation; problem solve where appropriate.
  • Support with Director of Strategy and Implementation in the developing materials and documents to support initiatives and programs.
  • Work with program delivery teams provide guidance, ensure timelines are being met and teams are clear on their objectives.
  • Provide teams with additional support in task execution to enable achievement of key initiatives goals.
  • Translate requirements, objectives, and goals into actionable project plans and validate with applicable internal SMEs.
  • Maintain project plan and other project documents.
  • Set clear expectations with internal and external project teams, and hold internal resources accountable for deadlines and deliverables.
  • Identify and propose changes; change orders, and budget updates & determine impact and drive mitigation plans.
  • Diagnose issues and risks; develop and manage contingency plans.
  • Document lessons learned and recommend process improvements.
     

Job Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of professional experience in project management is required.
  • A Master’s Degree and/or certification in Project Management is preferred.  
  • Experience in policy, non-profit, energy efficiency, strategy or high-growth operations is highly desired.
  • Experience with Monday.com is highly preferred.
  • Excellent prioritization and facilitation skills with a clear focus on results.
  • Deep operational mindset and proven track record in process optimization and execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to lead/project manage cross-functional teams working on complex, operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
