ABCD Head Start & Children's Services is a family development program serving children from birth to age five, as well as pregnant women. Part of a highly successful national program, we provide comprehensive services to the whole family and foster a safe, creative learning environment to support children in school readiness and their social-emotional development. We are looking for dedicated individuals who want to make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve!

Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date records for each child while performing service tasks related to health and nutrition needs
  • Document results of screenings and assessments for Health and Nutrition Services Managers and parents
  • Work with families in seeking out health and nutrition consent forms for children in their respective caseload
  • Work with staff to ensure that children and related family members without medical coverage receive services that are needed
  • Monitor, conduct inventory, and restore first aid supplies for classrooms
  • Maintain and monitor children’s physical and digital files with all health and nutrition related data
  • Maintain statistical data as requested by the ABCD Head Start administration and in accordance with federal and state regulations
  • Assist with administrative needs as requested
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience required.
  • Certificate or college course work in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to keep accurate written records and documentation.
  • Bilingual skills and the ability to translate as necessary preferred.
  • Knowledge of neighborhoods served by programs and city-wide services relevant to the programs population.
  • Must be able to attend and participate in required community activities, meetings, and on and off site trainings.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing staff development to expand professional skills.
  • Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
